Some exciting news recently for photographers that are on the Instagram platform. It looks like Instagram has finally upgraded the resolution of pictures shared on their social platform. Formerly the resolution topped out at 640 pixels. Now you’ll be able to get your images shared out at 1080 pixels on a side.
With this higher resolution the platform is even more interesting to photographers that want to share high quality images.
Although we haven’t heard anything about changes in the Instagram website, one would expect that we should see some modifications to the layout of the web based photo streams in the near future. After all, what’s the point of collecting all those great pixels if you don’t share them?
